Commercial seawalls are constructed from differing materials such as, precast concrete sheetpile panels, interlocking corrugated vinyl, aluminum sheetpile, or heavy pressure treated timber structures. They are all similar in that they are erected to withstand greater loads and broader design parameters. 

Many of the commercial seawalls are along either the ocean or main waterways. Some seawalls that are installed on residential properties and smaller bodies of water fall into the commercial level construction category due to design requirements.
